    Manufacturing Manager – Fabrication

    We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Manager to add to our Operations team to oversee all aspects of our fabrication areas.

    Manufacturing Manager Duties:

    • Responsible for the growth and development of team members on all shifts, identifying training needs
    • Working closely with Master Scheduler to maintain Customer on-time rate of 97.5% or higher
    • Evaluating & identifying capacity needs to meet Customer demand
    • Meeting or exceeding shop capacity goals that fulfill Customer needs
    • Forecasting future equipment needs and incorporating department layout into overall material flow

    Manufacturing Manager Qualifications:

    • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
    • 5 or more years of experience in manufacturing
    • Metal fabrication background preferred
    • Previous supervision/management experience
    • Strong communication, organizational, problem solving, and leadership skills

    Warehouse Laborer – 2nd Shift

    We are currently seeking a Warehouse Laborer to join our Shipping & Receiving team on 2nd shift.

    Warehouse Laborer Duties:

    • Pulling and packaging orders
    • Loading and unloading trucks

    Supply Chain Intern

    We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Intern to help with various activities!

    Value Stream Leader – 1st Shift

    Directs, coordinates, and performs production activities of a specific value stream in industrial organization by performing the following duties.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Reviews, prioritizes, and sequences dispatch schedules generated by the Materials and Scheduling Team to meet customer scheduled delivery dates.  Identifies personnel requirements to complete the schedule for the shift. Coordinates with HR and the OM to get additional resources if need be. Identifies to the OM operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems in the VS to minimize costs and prevent operational delays review quality issues and corrective actions.
    • Conducts weekly meetings reviewing/setting goals for the following performance measures. 6-S, On-time, Utilization, Workload, Resource needs, Team member concerns, CI, Quality, Safety, MRO.
    • Completes weekly audits in their areas for Preventive Maintenance schedules, LPA (Layer Process Audits).
    • Continuous Improvement: work on set up reductions, own the value stream map of the area, create and maintain standard work, create and maintain work instructions, work on WIP reductions, inventory reductions, production smoothing.
    • Determines the skill and knowledge requirements of each team member in the VS in conjunction with the OM.  Schedules appropriate training with Process Trainer.
    • Performs frequent quality inspections with new team members; team members unfamiliar with the product; and problem parts identified by the Quality Team Facilitator.  Responsible in addressing all quality issues (internal and customer) with team members.  Identifies preventive and corrective actions to ensure mistakes do not happen again. Complete 8-D process on quality issues or process related issues.
    • Completion of TEA or Dale Carnegie leadership training program. Has been or is involved with a user group to help bring new ideas into DeWys.
    • Responsible to start up equipment at week beginning and ensure equipment is shut down at end of week.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Performs reviews in conjunction with the OM. Conducts counseling for employees.  Identifies personnel issues to the OM.

      CMM Programmer

      DeWys Manufacturing is looking for a CMM Programmer to join our growing team! CMM Programmer responsibilities include calibrating the coordinate measuring machine, act as a point person for quality team, scheduling work, handling reviews, and managing day to day quality issues. To be successful in this role, you should be fully trained and experienced in CMM programing with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

      CMM Programmer Duties and Responsibilities

      • Program or calibrate the coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
      • Act as point person for quality team, scheduling work, handling reviews, and managing day to day issues.
      • Conduct quality control inspections
      • Work with a team to meet manufacturing deadlines.

      • New Product Introduction – Support Team on PPAP
      • Drawing review / feasibility
      • Develop metrology documents for new product launches to meet customer requirements.
      • Gauge Set-up & Validation – ensure gauge R@R & capability study can progress.
      • Participates in preventative actions where appropriate.
      • Conducts corrective actions and perform problem solving analysis and reporting as required.
      • Participates in needs analysis and attends or performs training as needed.
      • Participates, as requested, in independent objective auditing activities and supports company continuous improvement activities.
      • Stops work on processes as appropriate and contain suspect or defective material or services to avoid further processing.
      • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
      • Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
      • Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
      • Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
      • Conduct part and check fixture certifications and re-certification as required.
      • Maintain equipment and report any problems with equipment.
      • Responsible for part and check fixture layout with written data which supports that parts and fixture are made to print for PPAP.
      • Maintain and update part layout history files.

      CMM Programmer Requirements and Qualifications

      • Fully trained experienced Offline CMM Programming to alignment requirements – RPS etc. Minimum of 2 years of experience.
      • Prior leadership experience preferred.
      • Full understanding of Technical Drawings and GD&T
      • High Standard of computer literacy
      • Excellent verbal and written communicator
      • Attention to detail.
      • Methodical approach to problem solving.
      • Blueprint reading skills.
      • Familiarity with GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) symbols
      • Experience with precise measurement tools, such as calipers and micrometers
      • Basic math skills
